The Show Me, Tell Me Questions

During your test you will be asked two questions about the vehicle. They may be either “Show me …” which will be asked while you are driving and which involves a demonstration, or “Tell me …” in which case you must explain how you would do something. These are the questions and their answers:

Explain that you would switch on the hazard warning lights and exit the car to check them.

The pedal should not feel spongy or slack; the brakes should also be tested as you set off and the vehicle should not pull to one side.

No cuts and bulges, 1.6mm of tread depth across the central three quarters of the width of the tyre and around the entire outer circumference.

Tell me how you would check that the headlights and tail lights are working.
